Lucia Griggi

Activist & Photographer

Considered one of the most influential surf lifestyle photographers, Lucia is pure talent behind her lens and shows real inspiration through her imagery.

Born, raised and educated in England – with frequent visits to her father’s home of Venice, Italy – Lucia moved to California in 2010. With her roots in the surfing, skateboarding and outdoor adventure world, Lucia focuses on lifestyle and adventure for editorial and advertising clients.

Her commitment to the ocean conservation pushed her to join the Surf & Nature Alliance, and Lucia is now collaborating with like-minded artists and surfers in our International Cultural Committee. She is delighted to inspire others to protect the waves and the coastal cultural and natural heritage around the world, and we couldn’t be more proud of her fresh, vivid and bright-eyed work. She combines her English precision with Venetian creativity to capture the moment with clarity and wit.

Lucia’s work has been internationally recognized and awarded by National Geographic, PDN, Windland Smith Rice International AwardsBlack and White photography and the Masters Cup. When not shooting, Lucia can be found surfing the Californian coastline or visiting family back home in England.

A long list of world-known selected customers, awards, and beautiful work can be found at her website:  http://www.luciagriggi.com/
