Coordinator of the SURF & NATURE RESERVES in Portugal
FRANCISCO CIPRIANO was born on 20 May 1969 in the small town of Bombarral (20 km from Peniche). With a master’s degree in Geography and Regional and Local Planning Francisco’s professional life is linked to the management of European Union Funds in Portugal and international cooperation projects on behalf of Portuguese Public Administration. Most of his professional life is articulated between Lisbon and the European capital of Brussels. He is currently senior adviser at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. In addition to this, Francisco is a man of many activities, projects and ideas: advertising, fashion, writing, photography, travelling. He is passionate about surf and sea. He sees in the Ocean his form of freedom and a single moment of harmony between man and nature. Co-authored of the first national surf guide “Portugal Surf Guide”.
