NO to the submarine outflow!
Three of Europe’s most emblematic breakers in Europe are seriously threatened by the submarine outfall, whose brine discharge will affect the coast in a unique natural environment.
The discharges will affect the great biodiversity and health of the waters. A direct impact on an ecosystem where different marine species proliferate and which is also a sanctuary for surfers thanks to the waves of La Santa and El Quemao.
A highly valuable place in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) that we must protect.
For this Sunday, the 22nd, a demonstration is planned in front of the Teleclub of La Santa, in which surfers, professional and recreational fishermen, farmers, ranchers and residents of the town of La Santa in the municipality of Tinajo will participate to protest and demand that the authorities revise the project since there are reasonable alternatives that would solve the problem.
Let’s protect our marine environment and preserve these amazing surf breaks, and any others around the world.
We preserve the ones near or far, the large or small, well-known or almost anonymous,… Join our mission to preserve the natural and cultural heritage, of these strategic locations for many local communities. Do it for yourself and for the generations to come.
